Anxiety tells us to tighten our grip. When you want to control everything, you only feel worse and then blame yourself when something goes wrong. We only have so much time and energy in a day — when we invest that energy in our anxiety, we can’t invest it in other things. Reflecting is great and thinking things through is important, but obsessive thinking never delivers on its promise.
