Dr. Jomana Sweiss (she/her)

I am here to be the calm in the midst of your internal storm. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by ADHD, powerful emotions, or major life changes, let’s work together to help you find peace.

We will create a collaborative therapy that is honest and compassionate. Together, we will embrace your emotional, physical, spiritual, and cultural qualities.

Our treatment will include elements of psychodynamic theory, mindfulness, and dialectical and cognitive behavioral techniques (DBT and CBT) to customize therapy to who you are and what you want to get out of our time together.

My couples therapy style is informed by Emotion Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method. We will identify specific techniques to improve communication and conflict resolution. We’ll work to ensure each partner’s personal needs are heard and respected.

I also lead a DBT skills group and offer one-on-one DBT skills coaching.

I respect and value diversity. In my various clinical positions, I have provided treatment to socioeconomically and culturally diverse individuals and couples with varying sexualities and gender identities.

I previously worked at a drug treatment center, a community mental health agency, a private practice specializing in serving minority women with trauma histories, a Veteran’s Administration Hospital, and a geriatric mental health program. Through these experiences, I have provided individual, couples, and group therapy for anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance abuse, and chronic pain.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist, PSY32429.
