Pre- and Post-Licensure Support for Psychology Trainees
Training to become a therapist is both meaningful and demanding. Whether you’re in the middle of a program, completing practicum, or working toward licensure hours, this stage of your professional journey can bring intense pressure, self-doubt, and emotional strain alongside growth and excitement.
Supporting clinicians-in-training is an area of my work that I love and feel deeply connected to.
I have experience supervising pre-licensed psychological associates and facilitating group supervision, and I understand the unique emotional, relational, and professional challenges that arise during training and the licensure process.
Who This Work Is For
This may be a good fit if you are:
A student navigating graduate training, practicum, or internship
A pre-licensed clinician accruing hours toward licensure
Feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or emotionally flooded during training
Struggling with imposter syndrome, self-criticism, or fear of “not being good enough”
Managing the emotional impact of clinical work while also being evaluated
Navigating supervision dynamics, power hierarchies, or professional identity development
Trying to balance training with personal life, relationships, or caregiving roles
My Approach
When working with pre- and post-licensure clinicians, my approach is grounded, collaborative, and developmentally informed. I hold a deep respect for the complexity of being both a learner and a provider at the same time.
I bring an understanding of:
The emotional realities of clinical training
The pressure to perform, improve, and “get it right”
The vulnerability that comes with supervision and evaluation
The process of developing your own clinical voice and professional identity
Our work together is not supervision or evaluation. It is a space for your support, reflection, and growth.
I aim to create a space where you don’t have to perform, impress, or prove anything — a place where you can slow down, reflect, and reconnect with why you entered this field in the first place.
I welcome the opportunity to support you as you move through this meaningful and challenging phase of your professional journey.
